You Can Now Log in to MySpace with Facebook

MySpace Facebook Joint Announcement Invitation
Both Palo Alto, California-based Facebook Inc. and Beverly Hills, California-based MySpace are schedule to make a joint announcement on Thursday, November 18 of this year [today] at 12:00 Noon Pacific Time --- 3:00 PM Eastern Time. Said announcement will be made by MySpace CEO Mike Jones as well as Facebook Vice President of Partnerships and Platform Marketing Dan Rose.

Now, talk about strange.

MySpace and Facebook are similar to water and oil. They do not come together easily. However, given the sudden decline of MySpace over the last few years, this shouldn’t come as a surprise.

At this point, no one really knows what exactly the two companies are planning to announce. We can definitely discard the possibility of a merger. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg would be present if that was the case. Instead, this seems to be more a partnership to perhaps allows MySpace users to log in with their Facebook credentials. In other words, the implementation of Facebook Connect into MySpace.

Luckily, we won’t have to wait long to find. Stay tuned.
